About

Hi! My name is Rachel and I’m so happy you’re here. I love the Lord God with all my heart and am passionate about others getting to know and falling in love with him. In my professional career, I am a Proposal Manager in Business Development and Strategic Growth. However, I love to teach, inspire and encourage others in their walk with God. Over a year ago, I was inspired by the Holy Spirit to create a blog. After a year of life happening, I decided to remove all distractions and get focused on this blog to share my journey of living a life yielded to the Lord and to encourage those who desire deeper intimacy with him to pursue him with their whole heart. Intimacy comes through yielding our entire life to him.

I grew up in church and received the salvation of Jesus Christ when I was a pre-teen. I have lived long enough to make plenty of mistakes, but thank God for his grace and mercy. So you won’t find any posts about how I’ve perfectly walked through this life. Yielding is not perfection, it’s a heart posture of humility and obedience. I have by no means arrived. So my journey of pursuing him continues.

The yielding isn’t always easy, but the reward is great!

If you need encouragement for your journey, resources to help you, a community of believers who will pray for you, then you have come to the right place. So stick around and feel free to leave a comment, ask questions, send in prayer requests, or suggestions for topics. Also follow me on instagram and facebook.

What I believe

  • I believe the Bible is God’s word. I believe it is the infallible word of God, which is sufficient for all we need to live the Christian life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
  • I believe God is three in one. There is one God who eternally exists as three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). All three persons are equal and eternal. Matthew 28:19
  • I believe Jesus is fully God. Jesus is both fully God and fully human as the second person of the Trinity. He has always existed as God, and the world was created through him. John 1:1-2
  • I believe we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. Every person is broken by sin and in need of salvation. We are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9
  • I believe there’s life after death. Jesus is returning in order to set up his kingdom and judge the world. Those who have trusted Jesus for salvation will live eternally in heaven, while others will be eternally separated from the presence of God. John 11:25-26
